Competition

GC/EC are now beginning their fourth season of competition. This years game is "Gateway". Gateway is played on a twelve foot by twelve foot field. There are four robots on the field forming a "red" and "blue" alliance, each containing two robots. The field is divded into three sections (Half field "Interaction Zone" and two quarter field "Isolation Zones") These robots compete to score the most points by scoring barrels and balls in circular goals of various heights, and attempting to double or negate goals using special white and black barrels.

The official season launch was held on June 12th at Rangitoto College. Only a small number of teams competed in this event, including 2918c of Glenfield College.
